CUNY Callouts: Meet New Faces

Joann Huang, a two-time CUNY graduate from Baruch College and City College, is a graphic designer with over 15 years of experience in private and non-profit organizations. She is currently a creative design specialist at City College. She holds two MFAs, the first in design and technology from The New School’s Parsons School of Design, and the second in documentary film from City College. “My first undergraduate work-study was with the Baruch Library. It was one of the best experiences that I had working with the CUNY staff. I still keep in contact with some of the staff. I loved my CUNY experience, so when CCNY had a design position opening, I applied … and here I am,” she said.

What does your day-to-day job look like? “I manage and take design requests from across the college campus for poster design, brochures, signages, ads, reports and branding. I also review and approve the college brand for licensing/trademark usage on merchandising orders. Aside from graphic design needs, I also handle photography and video editing requests.”

What do you do for fun? “My hobbies are travel, board games and true crime.”
