Spring 2024 Recreation Schedule

Update 4/15/2024: The Fitness Center will be open 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. from April 22nd – April 26th during Spring Break. 
Pool is closed on Mondays until further notice.

Rules for the Use of the BMCC Athletic Facilities

1)The facilities are available for current BMCC students, faculty, and staff.
2) BMCC alumni can use the facilities with a BMCC Alumni Card: http://www.bmcc.cuny.edu/alumni/

3) No personal belongings in gym, pool, or weight area. Place all belongings in locker & provide your own lock.
4) Lockers for use by persons utilizing BMCC athletic facilities ONLY. No day or overnight lockers.
5) No eating, or drinking. Water is permitted in the gym (please no sports drinks).
6) Proper attire required in all fitness areas.

Pool Rules


1) Maximum number of persons permitted in pool at any time:175
2) Maximum number of persons permitted on deck at any time: 65
3) Maximum number of persons permitted in pool area: 240
4) Occupancy By More Than 240 Persons is Dangerous And Unlawful.

4) Pool use is prohibited at any other time not listed on the official schedule.
5) Swimmers and spectators must obey lifeguards at all times.
6) No person having any contagious disease or infections, condition such as sores or inflamed eyes, a cold, nasal or ear discharge, cuts boils or other evident skin or bodily infection shall enter the pool.
7) Urinating, expectorating or blowing the nose, or allowing human waste in any pool is prohibited.
8) Persons not dressed for bathing shall not enter upon walks immediately adjacent to pools, and bathers shall not enter places provided for spectators.
9) No person under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior shall enter the pool or the pool deck.
10) Prolonged or repetitive breath-holding can be deadly. No intentional hyperventilation or under water competitive breath-holding.
11) Emergency telephone number for police, fire and hospital is 911.
12) Children less than 16 years of age must at all times be accompanied by an adult responsible for their safety and behavior.
13) No pets allowed in the pool area.
14) Soap showers must be taken before entering the pool.
15) Bathing caps must be worn.
16) No glass permitted on deck area.
17) No bags permitted on pool deck.
18) No running, skipping, or horsing around on the pool deck.
19) No food or beverages are allowed in the pool area.
