AcMo 2.0 Town Hall Presents Efforts Across Campus to Increase Graduation and Transfer Rates
On November 30, the BMCC community gathered at the main campus and followed a Livestream for the Academic Momentum 2.0 (AcMo 2.0) Town Hall. This CUNY-wide initiative seeks to improve undergraduate graduation rates over a three-year period. Updates during the town hall focused on the creation of an English 100.7 course for ESL students, the piloting of Jump Start in BMCC’s CUNY Start and ASAP programs, a continued increase in the recruitment of Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) leaders or Supplemental Instructors (SI) for corequisite courses and more. Subcommittees gave updates on degree maps, credit accumulation, creating a foundation for timely transfer, improving Credit for Prior Learning transparency for military-affiliated students and other areas. Together, these efforts increase graduation and transfer rates at BMCC, building student success across every academic department. Watch the Town Hall.
